Sort of. They have had plans for a couple years to have a phone or 2 that will work with their system and overseas on GSM. They wll not be offering GSM in the US unless they change their entire network, Lots of $$$$$ for that, plus FCC approval and such. They would have to decide right now to do it, before they start on any sort of 3G project. |

I doubt Verizon will ever go GSM. They have the most excellent network here in the US now. I have still to meet an unsatisfied Verizon customer.

I have, but I work in the wireless industry. Have met from all sorts of carriers, so not unique. The only way they ever go GSM is if the technology becomes very inexpensive to convert to. |
