has anyone unscrewed and opened up the T65 before?
wat is it like.. are there any pictures available on the net??

I was thinkin about that but i remembered a post here time ago sayin that openin just invalidates warranty!!

I have opened it berfore owning, there nothing inside, there only a battery screwed, the antenna. You can open it without validate the warranty. Try once |

i feel tempted to do it.. hmm.. can't now tho.. lent it to a friend.. oh well.. i'll try it later  (i think..that's if i trust myself that I won't do anythin stupid durin the process)

heyy, if u do open it, is it possible to open up da front as well..so u can get rid of all da dust dat resides in between da case n da screen? |

I have opened up the T65... its got a copper antenna plate just behind the SIM slot... got a slim battery framed in... and if you unscrew the rest of the screws inside, the front cover comes off so you can clean the screen... you'll find the aqua light is not actually made up of light nodes, but instead a white pad that glows. the same stuff used in some watches. you'll also notice if you put your ear to the phone when the light is on, there's a slight hissing noise. this is normal with any gadget with that particular light. be careful when taking off the front cover because the LCD is not locked in... it might jus fall dangling... the time and date resets when you open the phone.. and i have a feeling the phone records how many times they reset, which means they can tell if you've opened the phone.. for those of you who bought the T65 just recently, aren't you glad you did? that's because the new T65's are better looking than the old ones with the new silver plate on the front... looks better than the previous transparent white plate... i also bought the FM radio for the phone.. its pretty crap for the price. the lcd doesnt show what station you're on and everytime you turn the phone off or turn the radio off, it doesnt record the last station you were at. you gotta keep scanning for your station. i think i talk too much =P oneeeee more thing. who used to own a T18? i wish they retained the great functions the T18/T10 had... that is you could go to the call list, press no and the last number shown would automatically show on the screen. also when you got a sms the sms flash signal would continue flashing until you read the msg. doesnt happen on the newer phones. i think i should shut up now eh. my email is juncarlo@hotmail.com if you want to engage in interesting conversation... about anything really  |
