After many hours of research and reading reviews, I purchased a Jabra
BT250 Bluetooth headset to work with my Sony Ericsson T610.

I have successfully paired the device, however when using the headset,
the quality is poor and I can hear interference and static through the
earpiece. I returned the Jabra to the shop I purchased it from and
they replaced it.

The fault still exists on the new unit and the quality is poor. I
visited a friends house and paired his Nokia headset with my phone and
it appeared to work fine.

I read on the internet that the firmware on the phone could be to
blame, so I have had my T610 replaced…. But the problem still exists!
So I'm stuck and can only think the headset is poor quality and I will
have to return to the shop for a refund.

Any suggestions, are there known Bluetooth problems with SE firmware?

I've never had any problems regarding sound or performance with my Jabra - in fact I think they're superior to SE headsets.I can't say whats wrong but it isn't normal. What's your current firmware?

I've had similar problems but not bad enough to bug me. I noticed it happens when the battery is low on the headset or the handset.

I just got my BT250 and use it with my T616, the quality is great and I have no problems. I arrived at this headset after an unbelieveable struggle with an echo problem that persisted with an HBH30, HBH35 and HBH65, when used with my phone the people I spoke to could hear themselves echo.

Perhaps you do need to update the firmware on your phone.
