GPRS and Cingular |

I have searched and found several topics on this, but they seem to have area specific info that won't work in my area. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get GPRS to work? I have the username, password, address and ip address, but I keep getting access denied. I have spoken to customer support at Cingular many times and can't seem to get it to work. Also, after the "access denied" message, I get a phone icon with an through it on the bottom toolbar. If I click on it, it says "GPRS, Incoming call not allowed". My signal meter shows GPRS signal and when I click on it, it says "network Cingular" "GPRS: Attached"
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
OK, I think I am getting closer. Now I get the little globe on the bottom, and then the message "actuvation rejected"
Anyone? Anyone?

Sorry, its a P900. But, I got it figured out. they were giving me the settings for the "apn", which is supposed to go in the homepage location. Anyway, its working now, but I have another question. Sometimes I get an icon that is a phone headset with a line through it. When I click on it it says "gprs, no calls allowed" or something similar. The only way I can get this cleared is by restarting it. Today was the first time I saw this since I got the gprs working, and I wasn't doing anything with the phone for a couple of hours, then when I looked at it, it had this icon on it. |
