Need help deciding Nokia->Nokia? Nokia->SonyEricsson |

Thanks for the help guys, but I'm moving to Verizon (inshallah), GSM just isn't useful in terms of call-clarity and signal strength. Also, 1xRTT kills GPRS in terms of speed, and edge is only available with AT&T , which charges wayyy too much for internet access on a phone. I agree Verizon's phone support may not be up to par with T-Mobile, but realistically its:
GSM vs. CDMA
GPRS vs. 1xrtt (both avail all over)
EDGE vs. EVDO (both scarce and not avail)
Verizon is a better choice for me. Thanks again.

if your using a pc, if you look at the top left of the page, you will see a link that says phones, click there to compare size, capabilities, 'how good looking they are' etc etc..... but i would recomend SE or something other then nokia, samsung and siemans are bringing out some quality phones soon!!!

The P800 doesn't have that WOW-effect you mentioned anymore I'm afraid. Mind you; painting it makes it get it back... Since you are carrying your lapie all the time I don't see why a P800 would be nessecary. Give the T630 a go. I haven't had mine yet but from what other people here at Esato says it would deffinatly cover your criterias. Happy hunting and welcome to Esato!

The Z600 is great too but if one wear a suit it is a bit bulky. It lleaves "evidence" of that pocket containing a phone

Then it'll have to be a N kia if EDGE is really needed.
Or wait a few months for the Z1010.
Otherwise, get the T630 which is brilliant!
(I want one i want one i want one!!!)

how about a nice T610 or T630 there the best. but you say you also need EDGE.
how about buying an EDGE pc card form SE? there aren't many good phones with EDGE out there. GRPS is fast enough i think, for surfing on a phone, but when it comes to surfing on a laptop its better to have EDGE i think
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

You want EDGE so you could consider these (in order of my own preferences):
a) Nokia 6620 (Series 60)
b) Nokia 6230
c) Nokia 6820
d) Nokia 6810
And see also what will be in 3GSM this week
I understand you are in US, so obviously you can forget about WCDMA phones (like Z1010, 7600, 6650 for instance) |

Thanks, I think I'm going for the t630, but I only have one issue:
ITS NOT RELEASED IN THE US
damn, the US is so slow in releasing SE phones. I remember I got my t68i one year after one of my close friends that visits Dubai often got the t68(gold). Does anyone know when T-mobile USA is releasing any version of this phone, I don't care which color the phone is, both are super-cool, and a nice effect would be the white faceplates keypad on the black faceplate... ooohhh... lolz. maybe it'll look cheap, have to buy both faceplates now. So the decision is T630, as I looked on my past experiances with NOKIA, and they SUCK. I own a nokia, and anyone who plans on buying one, you'll be happy with it for a little bit, and then... it loses its function(well for me) sorry for dissing nokia, they're REALLY popular in Asia, but their just not for me
Thanks, I was also considering the z600, but its heavy and big, but definately cool-factor.
Is the plastic housing on the t630 a concern for anyone? Being as the t610 is a light-aluminum??? |

@ubaid1
It's not only the US. I'm waiting for the Norwegian suppliers to call me and say "We finally got it"...
