I had to ask!!! On the the promotional pictures of the p900 there is a very nice picture of a sailing boat, HMS Sony Ericsson!!!! I was wondering where i can get hold of a picture of it as i live near the sea, so an ocean theme would not go amiss!!! !!

here is a pic for anyone wondering what this is about, looks like it might be a video rather than a still pic from that screen

edit: I guess you could do a screen capture of the P900 screen below and make a flip closed pic from that

Just don't put the phone in the bath under such a mistaken belief...I can assure you that, without the appropriate inflatable rubber ring which one may purchase from your nearest SE stockist, the P900 will NOT float as is...

You have been warned...!

Although in an emergency the P900 can be utilised as an emergency raft. Simply pull the flip down and clamber onboard, a pinky will secure each person, up to a maximum of six, to the 'raft'.
Slide the stylus from its silo and wedge in the small cavity where the flip sensor is located thus creating a basic mast. Attaching your handkerchief to the stylus will provide you with a rudimentary sail that will enable you and your fellow passengers to safely make it to land.
During your voyage to safety the P900 can be utilised to send sound waves into the ocean as the speaker will be on the bottom of the devide facing into the water. Underwater transmission of sound waves will allow you to incapacitate nearby dolphins, which you can then harpoon with your stylus (dismantling your sail first) to provide you with sustenance.
The screen can be used as a 'flare, enabling you to signal for help from passing ships and planes. You can either activate a brightly coloured theme (at night) or use the screen to reflect the rays of the sun (during daytime).
Morale and sanity can be maintained through the P900's inbuilt games and the voice recorder will alow you to keep a personal log of your voyage in the style of Star Trek captains.
By removing your memory card from its slot you will find that you have a small craft capable of transporting up to two people (in the same manner as the P900) to other vessels you might meet or it could be utilised as a landing craft to land members of your party on any islands you may come across

Far be it for me to say, but perhaps a better, rather easier, solution may be to actually phone for help?...

Further, if the speaker is on the bottom, near the water, then i would think the phone may actually sink, due to it taking in way too much water...

On the plus side, I do like the mast and sail idea, always a useful feature, and something I always look for when buying a phone...

Recent posts suggesting that the phone gets hot after intensive use would equally keep our "shipmates" warm during the wait for rescue...

It would also be nice, purely for morale and tourist capability, if one could find, or indeed encode, an MP4 of rippling water, perhaps with some little fishes swimming by (avoid sharks though, no need to evoke the fear of Jaws now is there), thus recreating the feeling of a glass bottomed sea vessel... very popular at various sea side type places all over the world so they tell me...

Much of this problem could have been averted though if one had the foresight to attach the wrist strap to one of those little anchor points located at most harbours...

Before people start pitching the maritime benefits of the P900, I think we should ascertain if the thing floats...

Who's gonna be first, then..?
