ummmm... ok real quick. i don't know if psmplay opens .wmas and i certainly can't tell you if it will convert them to .mid. i have converted simple .wavs such as mozart and enya to enya but you can't do something like aerosmith. so let's just say you have a long-ass midi and you want to make it 30 seconds. just click file - open - and then click on your midi file. you'll notice that while it's playing, you can keep track of the time.

what i do is lower the tempo to get just the exact spot to cut it at using the tempo buttons.

then once you find your "sweet spot" you can cut it. click on the cut button...

and this window will come up...

type in the time you want it to start and end and always remember to save it as something else so you can always co back to the original file.

The title of this thread needs to be changed. It now reads " How to use PMS player?! "

ok. thanks. I assume you mean..Set volume to 500 and the rest to 127(velocity,master volume and every of the channels), right?

Also, will the PSM player play it louder after saving the new setting, or I will only notice this when i download to the phone?

thanks

no, don't worry about volume, this won't do anything. psmplayer sucks at making ringtones louder. use midifixer instead.

Does midifixer also converts from one standard to another or just improves midis? I can't convert anything with the psmplayer and i can't save the work...I'll just look for midifixer or anything else.

@701 - no midifixer just makes them much louder and fixes stuck notes. what do you mean you can't save? are you clicking on "create midi?" are you using the english version?

[edit] so can you change the title to psmplayer so in the future, others can find it as well? i don't think very many people will be searching esato for "pms"
