hey all,
i just recieved my t610 yesterday and activated t-zones (a t-mobile service), which should allow me to use the wap internet thing with unlimited access. are there any hidden fees i should know about?
also if i use the t610 to access esato.com or other websites and download ringtones, wallpapers, themes, and games, and if it says free, will it be free? or will i still be charged? there are some sites that offer free downloadables right? and other sites that charge?
thanks for help
edit: oops, one more question. ok, if i want to use this anvil composing program i've read about, i need some sort of cable to connect my phone to my pc? if i got this cable, would i be able to create my own themes and send it to my phone? does using the cable cost anything (besides the cost of purchasing it of course)? i know these questions might seem kinda lame, but i'd rather not get a $200 phone bill.

I think I PM'd you, check that.
Get a bluetooth dongle as opposed to a cable. Cable's don't always come with the correct software, and getting it to work can be tricky. Bluetooth is wireless, and unlike IR, does not require an In Line of Sight, so you could have the phone in your pocket, or you could be in the bathroom, and the connection should still be fine (considering you're close enough).
Also, you should look into getting Theme Creator Pro, which you can get here. It's free.
And when you send stuff to your phone, via cable, dongle, whatever, it's free.

thanks rdny, that was very informative. so if i get a bluetooth dongle (why such a wierd name?), i can connect my t610 with my pc right? would i need any additional hardware? the required software should be included with the dongle right?
thanks.
edit: um...would any bluetooth dongle work? or would i have to get a specific make and manufacturer? and this bluetooth thing. can it do anything else besides sending things to my phone? sorry for all the questions -_-;;

Yes, the required software should be included in with the dongle. Not always true with the cable, as you can easily find out by simply doing a search here on the forum for "SendFile".
You need no extra hardware. By the way, do you know about Bluejacking..........................
Basically any Bluetooth dongle should work.

Ah, Bluejacking, you can view it here. Basically, it's sending a contact to another person's phone, via Bluetooth without their permission. You can send little messages this way, by writing them in the Name section of the contact. Always funny.

Um, roobi
I'm having a difficult time understanding your question. If you get a cable, there's a chance that you won't get any software with it, so it won't work right away. And a cable will only link your PC and phone together.
A Bluetooth dongle will let you connect to your PC, via the wireless megahertz frequency it works on. You can connect UP TO 10 meters. Most do not allow you to connect further.

If you are a good shopper you shouldnt have tbl getting a cable that comes with good software. I was able to. There is one advantage to cable that I know of It charges your phone while you are packing it full of stuff. |

Man, you can charge your phone when you're sending stuff to it, via Bluetooth. That is no advantage. And also, what about people who aren't good shoppers, and don't know alot about cables? Are you just gonna leave them in the dust? I think Bluetooth will just fit them better.
