Probably he is European, European prefer Euro products; whil Americans prefer American products. In ph, they asked u to buy pinoy. Both are SE products dont worry where they were made, as long as you bought at an official distributor, its safe

I've bought four T68i's and two were made in Sweden and two in Malaysia....

Out of two from THE SAME SHOP, one was Swedish and the other Malaysian.... I don't really think there's a difference.... and I don't really care, you get a year's warranty on both so.....

It's just that producing the units in malaysia will cost less than doing it in sweden and thus they'll be earning more from each unit.

I think swedish units are more reliable but I guess it also depends on the quality of the batches! But labour and other direct costs in Malaysia will be much cheaper than in the EU. But some of increased profits will be partially offset by much higher shipping costs.

well my T69m is from sweden and is in repairs right now as after 6 months it has failed to regiser with 1800 networks. But overall, I have been experiencing no significant problems such as most of you guys have been.

Most people from Asia (especially China, India, Pakistan, Indonesia) prefer products made in Europe, Japan or US. That's because they think the quality control is better in western coutries.
At our airport many Asian people buy our Philips Electronic Shavers.. Cause they're made in HOLLAND, but they don't want any other products from Philips because most of them are made in China.. Same thing with Sony, SonyEricsson, Ericsson, Nokia etc..

Cheers

I don't really see the point of doing that, that is just paranoia.
