It won't work on R1L for T610 since this firmware doesn't compress the camera pics into small size !!

@caff,you may be half right, half wrong with what sw works
I have R1L and did a comparison but its mainly the size difference, although the pic seems darker with the cheat and it does reduce some blurryness.
Pic 1 (without cheat)
In the phone, pic 1 is 63kb/in the PC it is 28.1kb and after being sent back to the phone it is 67kb
Pic 2 (with cheat)
In the phone, pic 2 is 30kb/in the PC it is 18.5kb and sent back to the PC it is 69kb
Hope this puts a few minds at rest
Ps,the way to do it is after you have taken the pic, keep pressing the joystick/or whatever(dont hold it down)till the message 'picture saved in my pictures' appears.
Thx for the tip caff
If nobody wants it.. put it on eBay. |

I thought it wouldn't work on R1L firmware since it doesn't compress the pics quality !

@caff I've just tried it on my T610 with R1A on it and it seems to work. Took two identical pictures. One had a filesize on the phone of 42k, but with the cheat it was reduced to 7k
Nice work

I've not compared the picture quality on my PC yet (my work PC doesn't have a Bluetooth dongle ) but I'll try doing that tonight

so do I understand that with earlier firmware versions we always had a way of making the pics consume less kb, i.e. this trick works but in the opposite sense to how it works for later firmware versions?
I think thats how I understand this?

Not sure what it does on later firmware's but on my R1A it shaves between 20-40kb off the size of a picture, depending on the complexity of the image
How it'll turn out when I send the images to a PC I'm not sure yet, but I look forward to finding out.
