sorry if this has been discussed i dont have time to check right now.
i thought i read that the t610 cannot change message tones this cant be right can it.
if any one knows how could they please tell me.
also i live in australia does anyone know where i can find sony ericsson shops near me i live in sydney

You can change the Message Alert tones.

System < Sounds and Alerts < Message Alert

There you can change the tones.

But you are probably talking about using tones other than the ones that come with the phone. That I don't know, and would like to know as well.

yes thats what i mean . the ones i downloaded i cant figure out how to put as my message tone

i highly doubt you can change message tones other than the predefined ones. i had a se t200, t68i and now z600 and none of them allowed this functionality but if anyone do come up with the bright solution but will not harm the phone, feel free to let us all know as i am pretty sure many se users would love to take that knowledge and use it.
Learn from others mistake, it makes your life alot easier, but otherwise at least learn from your own mistakes.

Sorry but this is the 3rd time this week (let alone all the other weeks) that this has been asked, which is probably why we put it in the Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style)
