Hi,

I'm hoping someone here can help. I have a corrupt registry key from a failed MSI 6967 Bluetooth installation and now I just get an error that the specified section of the INF file is missing. I have narrowed it down to this registry key being empty:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{95C7A0A0-3094-11D7-A202-00508B9D7D5A}

Could some kind soul with an MSI BT devide please dump this registry key to a text file and paste it in here?

Thanks a 1,000,000 in advance.

Why not just DELETE the whole reg key and reinstall, You'll probably have anyway

Just for reference, if anyone else gets the error message below when plugging in a Bluetooth adapter, try and unplugging your network cable so that you are disconncted from the Internet as Windows Update can mess up your driver installation:

Install failed. The required section was not found in the INF.

Cheers,

The registry key was just a red herring

It is Windows Update that's the real culprit, if you get this error simply disconnect from the Internet before plugging in the Bluetooth adapter.

Matt
