t65/gprs bug: Rebooting ip flooded |

I have successfully managed to use my T65 as the GPRS modem for the PC (notebook) computer:
(T65, DRS-11, HP Omnibook, Windows 2k, VipNet Croatia)
Thanks to all posting the instructions and sharing their experience.
As part of development we are conducting, I am testing the usage of GPRS for realtime/streaming IP communication.
Every time T65 is flooded by [UDP] packets exceeding the bandwidth capacity (download and/or upload), it immediately reboots itself. The GPRS connection, of course, gets lost, although the PC still thinks the [PPP connection to the phone] is alive.
It must be a bug. Either thread un-safe code, nested interrupts or (more likely), some buffers get overrun, the address space corrupted causing the OS to reboot.
(Experiment, e.g., download direction: 50 times a second IP/UDP datagrams [we used RTP packets but that shouldn't matter] exceeding 72 bytes total. If data freq. or payload size is lowered, reception works fine.)
(btw: this php code sucks. If I wrote correctly T65, GPRS and IP upercase in the subject, it won't post, complaining that subject cannot be written in uppercase 'only'?! |
