I know this idea has been throughly thought through already but I was reading up on GSM and SIM card's. Would it be possible for when the phone checks to see if a Network Provider's code on the SIM card matches one of the codes stored in the phone, to fake the code? I am just starting to get into GSM now that Rogers AT&T decided to come out of their shell and upgrade. I used to test smart cards for dishes and from what I understand if a request for information is sent then you can send back what it wants to hear so that it will work. Is it possible to adapt this for the SIM cards? I really want to buy a T68 or T68i but don't want to pay 350 USD for an unlocked one. Thanks |
