Is there something like a virus,which to be send via sms or mms and can damge mobile phone?

Well I would say no but as phones become more advanced and have there own OS virus's are certainly in development i would imagine.

This is a link to a news article recording a mobile virus.. Something that will no doubt be on the increase with the Symbian and Microsoft OS phones in the near future.. I heard that MS were working on an antivirus program for mobiles abut a year ago but haven’t heard much since.

At the moment it is not possible to send any kind of virus via SMS or MMS.
These messages do not have the capability to "penetrate" your phone.
They basically work as a un opened heading in an email.

I think it will possible in java language, i think that it can be possible right now too (java applications)

wel had a bit of a discussion recently about viruses in P900 which may be of some interest too, although this one is more general

There must be viruses for mobiles or why would they put anti-viruses on most brand new mobile fones

yes there are some, but very small oneses along time ago. not many know of this, people blaimed the network or there phones software. but some know that there were some small viruses going arround. and yes in the future we'll see more of those, but don't worry all companys have already made some protections softwares in there current and futrue phones

I think the main factor is that anything that has internet on it can be prone to get a virus or 2. And its 2 be expected.

yea, and the faster and more advanced things get for phones, the easyer it will be.
when 3g is up all over the world somewhere arround 2010 you'll see a mobile kazaa full with viruses
