I've P900 + HBH-65 and simply cannot believe that it is not possible to use this combination as an MP3 walkman.

I'm seeking any P900 + HeadSet + MP3 related information which can help me to develop such component (sound redirection for default or non-standard Symbian EPOC player). Especially e. g. partial source-codes of SE 800 / 900 firmware, etc.

If you've similar interest feel free to contact me at karel dot panek vortex empyreum dot com.

Thank you!

How about buying an HBM-30 Bluetooth MP3 Player? Seems alot easier!

what would be the point anyway, the sound would be only in one ear, what are you gonna do, wear one on each ear? Yeah the HBM-30 is a better idea, or better still, just use the headphones that came with the phone!

I've always wondered why anyone would want to listen to an MP3 over Bluetooth. It would sound like a 64kbps MP3, in MONO... and kill your headset & phone battery in about an hour. You get crappy sound, in MONO, and lose all your battery charge. WHY?!?!?!?! Buy an SE HBM-30, or any of the numerous MP3/Bluetooth headsets! Your ears will thank you for it.

Besides, with the little 128MB size limit, it's not like you'll fill up your entire stick with just music and no apps, videos or photos. You'll most likely have one stick for apps, and another for music.

dave_uk> Now I am not interested in buying anything else for my P9 (I'm trying to minimize the collection of things I am carrying every day - thats' why I have a P9 too).

chris.oleary&jplacson> The point is to bring Bluetooth headsets I/O specifications to some larger programmer group; I also think there are many who have headset without special MP3 support and would like to listen even with one ear; btw 64kbps for MONO sound is enough and can bring VERY good quality with appropriate codec. FYI: I was never developing anything for mobiles (I only was working with Symbian and PSION years ago) so I don't have any good technical information resources for such work.

BTW: I prefer to hear the music in just one ear as I can hear the environment too. Of course I don't use my P9 for listening Beethoven:).

Seriously, no need to get stressy about this idea. I'd greatly appreciate allowing the P900 to send all its audio to the BlueTooth headset - PANs (in various forms) are only going to become more prevalent in the future, and I far prefer a wireless headpiece to wired headphones. You can currently route a laptop's audio through a BlueTooth headset, so why not the MP3 player or Lemmings on a P900? I've already read that they're going to bring out stereo BlueTooth headsets soon.

By the way, I like using the HBH-600 for MSN Messenger, but that means I can't use it for my phone at the same time, so I'm thinking about fixing the BlueTooth audio driver for Windows to allow I/O on multiple devices simultaneously, in order to mix my P900 through my laptop. However, if I could send all my laptop audio via my phone instead, that'd be just as good.

As for battery life, this is generally for use on the train, so it's not much of an issue for me.
