VERY crackly Jabra BT200 |

Following from my last post, I got the Jabra BT200 working and paired with T68i (thanks for comments).
The sound quality is however EXTREMELY poor. Very crackly from further away than 1 metre; completely unusable at more than 2. Turn my head with phone in pocket? More crackles than an Aussie barbie. Person on other end complains of loss of signal ('I can't hear you - you're breaking up...').
I know this kind of thing has been covered in other threads, but is this a fault or am I expecting too much? Tempted to dump the thing and use cable...

You have a faulty device, not obvious if it is phone or headset that is broken until you are able to try a different phone or headset with the device you suspect is faulty. |

I had very similar problems using my BT200 with my T68i.
The problems went away when I switched to the T610.
I have seen reports like this before - so I suspect that the range on the T68i is just bad.
Just a thought!

The only way to be sure is to find someone with for example a T610 and get them to pair the phone with your headset. With a T610 you should get 10m although solid objects- including your body- can reduce this to centimeters. |

2 weeks ago I got a BT200 and it is now paired with a T39m and T68i, (yup I got 2 cell working: 1 office line and 1 personnal line) and yes, if you go for about 6 to 8 meters away from the handset, the sound start cracking, but the person on the other end can still hear me quite good... im not sure where the problem is... but 8 meters should be good enough, right?
my only problem is, since I am using both handset, i.e. T39m and T68i paired with the BT200, and any calls which ever come first should be connected to the headset, right? yup, that happens, no problem there... I sometimes lost connection with the BT200 after I received a call or make a call, I have not figured it out why, and it happens to both handset...
anybody with same problem? |
