ok, here is a question-
are there any phones that would work on EDGE or G3 network allowing me to connect my laptop to the internet via the bluetooth?
If the phone is G3 enabled, does it mean it would work on EDGE network? |

you don't need an edge enabled or g3 phone. you can use a current generation phone (ie. t68i, t610, t616, t630) and the answer to your second question is no.

Most current phones use GPRS, whcih is about 20k. EDGE is a bit faster, WCDMA=UMTS=3GSM is even faster. EDGE will be backward compatible with GPRS. WCDMA will sometimes be backward compatible with either GPRS or EDGE, it depends on the phone |

I know I can connect to my laptop with a GPRS phone but the connection is SUPER SLOW. So I though if there was an EDGE enabled bluetooth phone, I could have gotten a faster connection. Are there any bluetooth edge phones out there? |
