Make sure you get a player thats REGION free... this means that youll be able to watch DVDs from all the regions. europe is Region 2, USA Region 1 etc etc.

Most of my DVDs are region 1 for the fact that they have better additions that Region 1 and if orderin the film of the net, its sometimes cheaper than in the stores for a R2 disc.

A few players now also have MP3 playback supporting CDR/CDRW discs aswell. It should also be able to play VCD films.

DTS is a good thing to have on the player too... this is the better one to DIgital Sound, hooked up at a DTS amp, it sounds the business... true speaker seperation sound if you have the proper 5.1 speaker setup aswell... sounds awesome!!

Hope this helps...

Sony did sound like a good idea, but have heard that they should be difficult to make region free! I got a new reciever SONY STR-DB870 so i won't have a DVD that doesn't support all three types of video, and all the sound spectres that is used! DTS, Dolby and what else is used.... My problem is that I can't find any reviews of DVDs on the net, and thought that you could help me!

Hej gullak!!!
