Hi folks,

Have you ever received feedback that your volume is too loud for the receiving party?
Sometimes they said as if I am screaming and my voice is distorted.
I normally receive such feedbacks of friends who used 8210....do you face similar problem?

i encountered the same problem before as well but i got it replaced. i believe there's a batch of defective t68's with the same problem. where are you from? the problem could not be a software problem so get it exchanged right away

Hi,
where are your phones manufactured? My phone is made in Sweden and I have this problem...

Are there no problems with the Malaysian ones?

I thought this was a problem with all T68 phones.

During a call, move the slider down to a more comfortable level for the other party.

mine says made by ericsson so i gather its either made in malaysia or korea. there are some batches that have that problem so its not to say that common of a problem in the t68 so if you so have that problem then u better get the phone exchanged. arnoldpc the problem is not a problem with volume of the earphone but the volume of the mic. with the slider, it only controls the earphone not the mic. The problem with the mic is that it picks up too much external sound instead of the person speaking itself so that produces a lot of static.

danlai,

With R1B NOBODY complained to me about this problem, yesterday I had upgraded to R1C. I made a call and that person complained about my voice being too loud and noisy, so I just used the slider by instinct and the person on the other side said, "now it's ok."

arnolddc,
I had three t68's with R1b and only one had the problem. im currently on my fourth t68 and im also currently residing in the philippines. it has been confirmed as a hardware problem by the people in ericsson and not the people in semicon. if you have a problem with the t68, you should contact them intead of semicon as they are really unhelpful.

I think it is just plain common sense.
I have had an 8850 before.. and i really really tried to speak in a normal voice.
But the counterpart never heard what i said.
So i usually had to annoy the resto of the bus ( for example ) to say what i had in mind.
With the T68 i can speak in a low, still clear voice, and even my mum hear what i say =)

u see ?

Go to the T68 Enginering menu and go to the service tests then to the microphone open it if it makes a sqeaky noise everywhere you point it then go change it if it does it sometimes here and there no probem just dont shout when talking to others!!!Tip:Dont put it on your ear when listening to others during a call keep it about 2-3cms away from your ear that should keep others from listening to a scratchy noise!!!

just go to any semicon service centres either in filinvest alabang, rockwell powerplant or megamall or even ericsson in ortigas. just call them up first because i have no idea if they had launched the R1C yet unless you know people in ericsson to do it for you
