Tell you what makes me laugh, when people say that it's to cold to snow. It's - 45 in the north pole and they have tons of the bloody stuff!

right..... normal temps on the polar circle around this time of year are -30

Makes me glad I don't live there anymore

All the same the cold itself is not the worst. it's cold combined with wind that is really bad

-7 here in Stockholm, and 20-25cm of snow... just like it should be when it's winter

I did 7 months from January to July in Stockholm (lived in Kungsholmen and did a contract at Dagab) about 3 or 4 years ago (the year the Pet Shop Boys were at the Wasserfest actually) and I remember when it was cold... it was biting cold! and you had about 4 or 5 hours of daylight. Mind you most Swedes seem to go to the sunning salons so they still had good sun tan!.

But when the sun was shining in the summer they all come alive and spend the 22 odd hours of daylight outdoors and the archipelago was the place to go.

It was a fantastic place and I still miss it...
