I've just been asked if it is possible that when checking email via wap, and downloading it to your phone, there is on way you can download any virus attached to that email. I've said no, there is no way that the virus would get downloaded to your phone. I am right arn't i?

generally, PC based viruses are scripts of various types which arrive in an attachment and usually disguised as something you might want to click on, or which can automatically be invoked by the outlook preview pane.
In non smart phones there is no capability to open these attachments so I'd say it highly unlikely that they could do anything to these phones.
On the Px00 phones there is probably more capacity for infection and there was a recent topic discussing that here (topic 49165)

Thought i was right. My way of telling the lass in question was easier (she's only 14). She has the same phone as me, so she's ok then. To tell you the truth i can't understand why these twats write virus's anyway! They should be all rounded up and shot.

I don't care what with. Why they do it I'll never know. Ok it may show up security lapse's, but to delete someoner work on a computer, sending it via email, idiots! Could have said something else but kids read this site as well.
