Hi. I'm going on a 3 week trip to Spain on Satuday next week. I need to know wich Spanish network have GPRS? Reason being; I would like to use my new MCA-20 to send pictures via e-mail to friens and family here in Norway. Imagine sending an e-mail to the guys at work, from the beach, saying look at me enjoying myself whilst you are stuck in the office! That would be sooo cool.
I chould be able to get the settings on SE mobile internet schouln't I?

It depends if you are using Telenor or NetCom and which net they have roaming agreement with.

If you have got Telenor you should call Data Support, 915 00 300. They know all about it.

As far as I know, NetCom only have GPRS-roaming within the nordic countries. I went to Austria two weeks ago, and I asked NetCom about this issue.

Movistar is the best one, then Vodafone, of course if they do have roaming with this ones I mean your company with the Spanish ones, but that for sure, have a nice time here

And how is the weather this time of year?

Hello Tranquil, my family have an apartment km outside Alicante, and I visited it this easter. I also have NetCom GSM. There is no GPRS roaming agreement with spanish operators. Vondafon, Telefonica Movistar & Amena are the operators. I did mangage to send SMS over GPRS!

If you have anny questions, just ask me, and I'll try to answer

Raptor: Do you know the Santa Pola area? It's just south of Alicante. I've rented a house by a beach called Arenales del Sol in a little comunity called Gran Vista. Do you, or anyone, else know it? I've rented the flat via internet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything will be all right.
After all this holiday talk, my main concern is to get my MCA-20 to work on e-mail while I'm in Spain.

Hi Solmyr! You can send with your modem instead of using GPRS. Set up a new communication-account. With Netcom you can try these settings:

Kontotype: GSM-data

Telefonnr: +4792000666
Bruker-id:
Passord:
Be om passord: AV
Datahastighet: 9600 kbit/s (kan kanskje settes høyere)
Ringetype: Analog
DNS-adresse:

These settings works on mine T68m, although I normally use GPRS.
Have a nice vacation! God Tur!
