I have a T68 with a R1B software. Sometimes my T68 just switches off itself....with alot of battery life left. Do anybody with a T68 face that problem as well?

Mind works perfect, maybe you should take it to a Service Point and they could check that is not a Hardware problem!

Not me. My phone has been ON since the day I bought it ...
Maybe your phone is faulty...best to send to the dealer for exchange..

I'm a T39m user and i've experienced the same thing. And sometimes the phone freezes, and taking the battery off the unit is the only way to recover the freeze. What i did was I went to Ericsson Service Center and they adviced me to do a Master Reset, I was adviced to backup my phonebook as doing the amster reset deletes everything in the phone, background images, melodies etc...

The second option they gave me was to have a firmware upgrade. I had mine upgraded from R2M to R3A.

I did the firmware upgrade option and after the upgrade, it never turn off by itself nor freezes. It solved the problem.

Hope this helps!

You cant do this yourself,..you have to go to an Ericsson service point.
They will do the upgrade.

I have just returned my second specimen of T68 - waiting for a new third one from Ericsson.
Both of my phones had the same problems with switching off and asking for PIN code.
Both of them often froze when connecting via GPRS mostly when checking E-mails, and daily the GPRS connection broke down.
Worst of all they did both take 10 minutes or more to connect to the GSM network when turned on!
I think the connection problems might be the telephone company, but asking for PIN code is a property for Ericsson phones when the power supply uses too much current, whatever the reason is!

me too im down to my 4th t68 now. it still turns off once in a while and im using the R1C too. i think its the software problem. it happens to me only maybe once or twice in a month. i guess we just have to wait for a better software upgrade. the only reason why some people dont seem to experiance this is because they either dont use gprs or they dont use pop mail accounts. i do agree when you power up it takes up too much charge.
