Ok. Before i used to think that whenever you recieve mmses and you save the contents it does not take additional space. Well theoretically it is correct. But today, i made sure all my contents were saved and deleted all messages from the inbox and i gained 54kbs!!! This is great. Guys try it out and let us know...

Yeah it does take room up in your memory. T616's and maybe T610's can check your message memory from the SMS menu. It does help!
The funny thing, though, is that I have over 600 KB, but when my phone gets to about 60 text messages received, it says that the memory is running low. Not sure exactly why, except that a part of the memory is put aside just for text messages.

I never mentioned about the text messages! Was talking about mmses. But does texts free up room too?

Text messages do save some room, but of course MMS's take up your memory's room!!! They contain either pictures or sounds, so it would only make sense that they take up room. Know what? If you have templates with pictures in them, they are taking up room alos.
Hope that this helps!!!

You missed my point completely :-D. I said that i SAVED those pictures, tones, etc. And them deleted the original messages. Logically and theoretically when i save them they do not take additional space. But now it seems that keeping the source of those items takes space.

No, I got your point. However, the pics, sounds, etc. are saved IN THE MESSAGE, ALSO. Try this. Next time you get a MMS, save the pics, sounds, etc. Then delete the pics. Now re-save it from the MMS. Now delete it again. Get it? The pics ARE SAVED ON THE MESSAGE, not just on your phone. So when you delete the message, YOU DO INDEED DELETE PICTURES, RINGERS, AND MORE!!!

Oh, okay, good. Was worried that I cost you a bunch of money. Eh, I prefer Esato on the PC. I'm just more of a PC person. But I love my T616 much more!!! Bluejacking is fun!!!

For me, clearing MMS's and texts saved about 100KB of room for me. Clearing off the templates gave me another 100 KB. Yeah!
