The camera is supposed to be the same as that in the T610. In my experience the pictures are of equal quality so have you checked your settings?

Yes, but in lower light the picture seems to be distorted, and some the pixels seem to be blue ! |

here is a pic from my T630 review
I hadn't noticed before but I guess I can see what you are saying and I have to agree... is that what you mean? there seems to be quite a bit of it near the top and near the bottom and its more obvious with the picture taken in extended mode
maybe a firmware update will fix it soon...

A bit offtopic... But i can't see the point in putting a camera, that you hardly can take a desent pic with, in a phone. I never use mine because it takes so puny pics. Looks like a game for a C64 :-D

The point is to take pictures and send them to friends or view them in the phone. I like the camera though. A friend of mine took a really fantastic picture with his fathers T610. It was in the evening and there was a strange light in the sky. He grabbed the T610 and took a picture. Wonderfull!

Lol.. I know what you can do with the cam, m8 ;-) I just can't see the point in having a crap cam. I might just have been unfortunate while taking pics.

The point of haveing a "crap cam" is that for the use it's supposed to be used for it's perfect.

Agreed, it has a focus range of something like 30cm, is designed to take pics at close range, then be sent through mms to mates etc. If you want to take 3 mega pixel pictures, spend £200 on a digital camera, not a phone.

When all said and done, its a really cool, small phone, with a poor cam on it. Just think back a few year ago and we all would a have died for a phone with any type of cam on it !

i've noticed that i get better pictures with the bw turned when it's darker conditions. i just wished the put the same picture size as the mca attachment. maybe just reformat it to the 616's screen.
