T616, Java, sockets, WOL question |

From everything I've read, there is no Java support for sockets on the t616, yet I've also heard of downloadable Java applications for the t616 that allow browsing of the normal (not WAP) internet. how is this done?
I ask because I'd like to send a Wake On Lan packet from my cell phone to my desktop computer, and don't have any good ideas on how to do it without socket support. Is it possible I could host a page somewhere on an ISP and hit that page with my cell phone browser, having the page in turn send the WOL packet? I don't have access to any serious JSP/ASP/CGI processing on that ISP page, however.
any ideas wouor thoughts would be greatly appreciated. | |
