What? It's fine where it is. The guys in the background of this site work like hell to make sure you can look at the site. And what thanks do they get? None!

Not angry, just annoyed that the guys in the background work like hell and get no thanks for it. The last post thread in my opinion is already in the best place. Having it at the top would confuse things.

yes that's xhtml and not all phones read that.
then..... from my point of view, it would be confusing to move one link and not the rest.
Moving all links to the top of the page would probably result in massive non-reading of posts, which kinda defeats the purpose of having a forum.
Besides it would involve rewriting the script (well part of it anyway) to change the linkage.... and all that for something that I think in the order of priorities is WAY DOWN the list....
In other words.... Oco... it's not about surfing as fast as possible. it's about having a conversation with eachother and for that you oughta read the post anyway, after which you'd have to scroll back up...... I think it would not be an improvement at all.

My point exactly. It really wouldn't work, and i lot of people wouldn't like it.

I wish it was possible to set a hotkey for the links, that would be the best solution

To be honest I think it works just fine the way it is.

I think its not a bad idea.
I have many times come back to the same thread and then only the last post(s) are intresting to me and you want to get to the end of the thread quick!
I think the best would be if you automatically jump to the lasy post of a thread if you're on wap and read it before. Perhaps it would be good to limit this to long threads, e.g. with 50 or more posts.
I dont think anyone will read through all 57 posts of a thread on wap anyway
Just my idea. What doya think? |

I usually just bookmark the last post i've read and continue on from there. Not much of a hassle and you can load it straight away without having to locate the thread first.

@Vlam: true, you dont have to locate the thread but you have to see that first post in the thread everytime
You could wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me to cite the first post in Swedish Forum and I would tell it exactly |
