SE will not flash my phone |

Has anyone encountered this?...I recently emailed se service dept to see where my nearest service centre was so I could get my voda live! T610 unlocked and flashed back to original se spec. SE replied saying that the voda live is copywrited and will not flash for me. I particularly don't want to flash myself but seem to be left with few other alternatives |

Naturally SE are not interested in having the Vodafone branding removed. I would imagine Vodafone has paid a substantial amount to license the T610 and create the branded version of fw etc. It would be really stupid for SE to undermine Vodafone's business model (and thereby their own) by allowing unbranding.
However - if you contact a couple of service centers directly instead of speaking to SE themselves I'm sure you can find one that isn't as strict about following the rules.

You should contact one of the centres directly insted of through SE. SE have to refuse to flash you phone due to legal rights and stuff so if you go straight to a service centre which isnt so strick baout the rules they should do it for u.
The only trouble is you will have to ring around to find the leinient centres that are lax towards the rules...

How exactly would you flash his phone??? Remotely??? Or would he have to send the handset to you?

Yeah, I started a new thread approx 2 weeks ago where folks could identify where they could get their T610 flashed. There seems to be loads of us out there who want these Vodaphone Live versions changed to the original se version but had no response. Any ideas / takers????
My problem is that my nearest se service centre is 30 miles away and I could do with somebody in a 10-20 mile radius |

Anyone know anywhere either near Heathrow or in Switzerland (Zurich) Where I can get my phone flashed??? Also if I get my phone flashed in Switzerland will it effect the language settings in anyway.
Cheers,

I believe there is a se service centre near Slough - I found the details approx a year ago by phoning the se helpline on my warrenty details. At the time I was wanting to flash T68M to T68i, however, my local CPW centre did it free in the end.
Best to give em a call |

I think the people who likes the unbranding and unlocking least is the brand.
In sweden they say that you break a contract if you unlock the phone before the binding is over...

Well i ''LOST' my t610 on voda and thery replaced it on the insurance. The new one is a more recent sw version that let me delete almost everything off it. The only thing is that it still has the voda live button on. but i can live with that. It was the undeletable pics and stuff that did my head in before. |
