I love Lisbon and have plans to bring the family there (and Barcelona) in the summer but wouldn't wanna be there during the footy!

Barcelona isn't a city of Portugal. Barcelona is in spain and Portugal don't have nothing to do it with Spain (thanks god).

yeah I know that! I have been to both many times myself but never taken the family and only mentioned barcelona as it will be part of the same holiday!
