I've had my T68 since Nov, and about a month ago, the 1 button stopped working. It only worked when u pushed it really hard, and I mean Very hard!!

I took it to where i bought it & they said it'd take 3 weeks to be sent away & be fixed, and that it would invalidate my warranty. I thought this was rubbish, so i said to the guy that i would take it to my nearest SC.

I didn't take it but the one button started working again, almost a week later. it's been going on and off since then and now it's pretty consistent, I've gotta push the button hard for it to work!

I'm gonna take it to my SC and get;
- The 1 button fixed
- the dust from behind the screen
- the software upgrade

Was i a fool for waiting? i wanted the upgrade, but the SC is awkward for me to get to!

Has anyone else had butons stop working like this??

Cheers!

I had a similar problem with my Nokia but I opened and cleaned it using spirt and a cotton dab. To be honest there is more dirt behind the switches than what appears and it becomes clear when we use spirit to clean it. I don't know if this is the best way but the good thing about spirit is that it evaporates quickly and so will not spoil the electronics. It also takes away any thing organic that is growing (like white moss) because of previous spillages.

You could try this but then again I have never opened a T68.

I had 2 t68m's with this problem from new! I only had them for about 1 day cause i took them straight back and got them replaced! Think in my experience build quality was very poor, got my m replaced for an i last night due to so many probs, hope this is better!? Have to say already i dont think the display is as good as on my m's but maybe im just being picky? If i were u i would take it back. Ed
