i live 3 miles from the south yorkshire border, does this count......not really, looks like your on your lonesome, i do support sheff utd though. bye bye coventry(assuming they get through)

I hope you knock coventry out. I only like sheff utd cos of mccall, and me been a Bradford fan.

hes a good player, for an old timer, it wouldnt suprise me if he doesnt end up back at bradford in some sort of coaching role in the next year or so, if he ever retires!

I can see that as well. He's always stuck by Bradford, always said he would come back and he did.

I suppose if there is going to be a Yorkshire thread there has to be a discussion about yorkshire puddings.
for people who don't know what these are take a look at this pic
my wife has tried and tried to make these but cannot get the same results every time. Mostly they are up as what we either call yorkshire biscuits or yorkshire stodge! and now uses the ready made, just heat up in the oven, Sainsbury or Tesco ones.
So the question is, is there a definitive, never gonna fail, do it with your eyes closed way of making these work every time?

and the answer to your question..... erm...... I would have to say no, there probably isn't, as there never is with 'granny's recipes' anyway

hard to describe what they taste like, that side of my brain doesn't work well (the arty descriptive side) but I do know they are yummy when filled with gravy
