Anyone from Yorkshire around here? We have a thread for East Midlands and everywhere else. Why not Yorkshire?

I can see that as well. He's always stuck by Bradford, always said he would come back and he did.

I suppose if there is going to be a Yorkshire thread there has to be a discussion about yorkshire puddings.

for people who don't know what these are take a look at this pic

my wife has tried and tried to make these but cannot get the same results every time. Mostly they are up as what we either call yorkshire biscuits or yorkshire stodge! and now uses the ready made, just heat up in the oven, Sainsbury or Tesco ones.

So the question is, is there a definitive, never gonna fail, do it with your eyes closed way of making these work every time?

erm..... what do they taste like?

and the answer to your question..... erm...... I would have to say no, there probably isn't, as there never is with 'granny's recipes' anyway

hard to describe what they taste like, that side of my brain doesn't work well (the arty descriptive side) but I do know they are yummy when filled with gravy
