Hi guys,

I have a problem:

1 - T68 bought from CW, NOV
2 - Had 1 service centre repair by ericsson
3 - Am having problems with my 1800 Mhzs sim cards registering with phone. No problem with other phones or 900 in T68
4 - I think phone is screwed

Has anyone gone to the carphonewarehouse store or repair centre and got theirs exhanged for a T68i? What are the chances of it being replaced if necessary with a T68i. What i mean is, do SCs have good stocks of T68m! I hope not, I want a change LOL and my phone is kinda broken.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I don't think they have any T68i at the mo, they'll probably try to repair it or replace it with another T68m.

the 1800mhz problem is well known with the first batch of t68m's... mine did it after 2 months... went to a sc (teleservice in denmark) and had it exchanged for a brand new t68m on the spot...

what is the problem with 1800 sim cards, I have found it does seem to lose signal and not register again without network search, is this what you mean?

dw123: yes that is what i mean... and at one point it will get so bad that the phone wont even register at all....
gsm1800 networks have shorter range but higher sound quality and allows for more phones in each cell...

OK so I guess I will take it to the CW as soon as I am informed that they have T68i replacements! There is nothing wrong with my SIM card or reception as far as I'm aware!

Allexdos,

How many times has it been logged in for repair, as a CPW policy if the phone has been into a CPW repair centre 3 times and is still has a fault they will replace it with another T68 (thats on the 4th time of it being logged in) though dependent on stock it may be a T68i but it is at the descretion of the person who authorises the "No Lemons replacement".

Hope this helps
