Hi, as you can see from the topic, i need some questions to ask Ian Van Dahl.
I work in a radio station as a producer, and will be interviewing Ian Van Dahl (Or more specific...Marsha - the singer/songwriter) tomorrow (Thursday 02nd May).
Please could you write any questions that you would like to ask, or you think would be interesting to ask??

why do you ruin the song by singing? they sound better before she sings.

Hmm, the interview's been done. (Very nice looking too!  ).
Dont agree with the singing part though. Excellent vocals - although they are processed to hell.
Wouldnt sing live for us in the studio  - wonder why!

It went well....It was on Hallam FM, Yorkshire - UK.
I'll post some pics when i get the chance (or their uploaded!).
Also, post the answers when the pics get sorted.

A: There's 2 other producers (blokes). She does the vocals and writes the tune, they do the instruments.

To be honest, I'm quite surprised that there's no one here who seems to know that the one that appeared in the studio with you isn't Marsha.

This is me.
I didn't visit your studios. In fact, the only time I was in the UK must have been while I was passing through Heathrow.
As for singing live at your studios, I wasn't there. If I was I wouldn't have hesitated a second to sing live.
Let's say that I really dislike singing on the phone, so I normally don't do that. But if someone would call me from your studio (preferably the person who did that particular interview), I'd gladly make an exception to the rule. You can get in touch with me through my website. http://www.marsha.be
I can't help being surprised about the fact that so few people have a clue about who's Marsha, who's Ian Van Dahl and all the ramifications.
Even though people frequently remind me of the past, because they're confused e.g., I really think it's best to focus on the future.
However, every now and then I just need to make sure that people don't connect my name to "refusing to sing live" and other foolish acts.

ok, I'm a bit sceptical on this "Marsha X" person  but then.... the pictures from the radiostation does look like Annemie Coenen who also has sung the "Castle in the sky" song, and has done the vocals for "Reason" and "Will I?"....

Well I live in Sheffield area in UK and Hallam FM is the local independant station so unless they are doing a wind up they do get 'Stars' on for interviewing. I tend to think the 1 post may be the wind up. Can't be arsed to check on web for pictures of the REAL one to confirm though. |
