Hey guys, i just got my t610 about a month ago and i've been experiencing a lot of trouble with charging lately. I'll leave my phone connected to the charger and out of nowhere, the \"optimized charging\" screen will pop up and make a sound. This will keep on happening randomly every few minutes even tho the phone hasn't been touched at all. I know that the problem is not with the charger itself because i've tried another charger and had the same problem. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Thats interesting, I have a charger that shows exactly the same effect and it most definitly IS the charger because a different charger on the same phone works fine but that charger shows the same symptoms on any phone I plug it into.

Actually I meant to call aqbout it today but I forgot so will do so tomorrow. I expect they will have me send it off to be checked and send me a new one as a replacement but I will let you know.

This probably doesn't have anything to do with your problem, but worth mentioning anyway....

My T610 will not charge if the charger is plugged into a surge-protected socket. It should do, I can run absolutely any other electrical appliance through an RCD or surge protected socket but for some VERY strange reason, the T610 charger won't.

Works fine through a standard socket though

your problem is probably that there is bad contact between the phone and the charger. thus you should clean the contacts on the phone. there is also the little spring/wire on the charger that gets bent. therefore you should carefully pull it out a bit. this should solve your problem... i hope

I'll try what you suggested, but how should i go about cleaning the contacts safely and effectively? Should i just turn off the phone and dab using a rag, soap and water? Thanks for the info, i'll try it as soon as i get home!

He said that the phone is the prob and that it reacts the same with the other charger. I think it's the connectors in the phone. Mine makes a short-circuit most of the times i charge it and it shuts down.i say u need a service centre and so do i :-D

on and off all the time, suggesting bad connection to the charging current. So either bad/dirty contacts at the phone's connector, which you can clean with alcohol. Otherwise it's something loose inside, which requires servicing.

You can forget it. There's no way you can remedy it. Mine does the same, and I've cleaned the contacts preety well.
The chargers they are providing are bad. They do have some bad contact inside the plug or smth.

Try to change the charger at the store you bought it if you haven't exceded the guarantee period. Perhaps you'l become a better one.

I intend to do the same.

As i stated above, i have a short-circuit somewhere in the phone( or the cahrger) but if i charge the phone with a new charger, my phone won't shut-down! This means that the charger has a problem somewhere...but then again, if the charger is the fault how come it happens only randomly and not all the time? The chargers suck..i can tell u this.The T100 has a small charer, 1/4 the size of my T610's charger...how come?

hey, 701 what kind of charger do you use?

Is it the same size of those for the old ericsson? Because mine is not too small, but acceptable. And is preety light too.

@ts_666

I had the same problem with my T68. There was a connection problem between the plug and the phone. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. I did use though my HBH-30 charger and had no trouble.
