I am bored and i want to paint my Playstation2 controller, i have taken it apart completely (apart from the electronics obviously) I am planning to paint the casing, the buttons (apart from the x, square triangle and O), and the analogue sticks if possible. Can someone tell me what kind of paint i need or what I need to do to it, like primer and stuff. I live in the uk so prices and places to buy stuff would be good.

Normal house wall paint is good. Works just as fine as any other paint!

no it dosent crack and fade if u make sure u make the surface smoooooth first. Ucan make it smooth by rubbing toothpaste on the surface of the ps2. It works like a charm m8!

Well it cant go wrong if u give the toothpaste a good rubing. But then againg the only exsperince i had with paint was when i did put a massive fire crackker in a bucket of paint And: Kablaaangsplashoo!

@bjerk lol are you taking the piss.
Proabable the best thing to do would be to smooth surface first with some sort of v fine sandpaper, then use a primer. Then a two-pack paint (same as you would for car sprays) then finally a lacquer. If no lacquer is used the paint will rub off while using the controller. Best place to get the stuff is halfords, as primers paints etc come in 500ml spray cans.
Place the item on a piece of card or something, hold the can about 30cm away from ps2 controller, spray it with the primer, leave to dry, then give it 2 thin layers of paint. Leave for a good amount of time before applying laquer
this the method i will use to paint my phone case when i get the paints, though not sure about sanding the phone case or not.
Also do a search about painting as there is a recent thread about spraying phone cases with some good pics in it.
