Hi Everyone.

Does anybody know where I can download a conventional British type ringetone. I have found one but it is not very good, tried cleaning it up with PSM, but its still very poor.

My reason for asking is I don't like the 'OLD PHONE' ring on the T610, and would just like a normal alert for business etc, characterised ringtones are not that professional when dealing with clients.

Thanks in advance

See this thread here for a number of links to various types of non-musical ringtones, including standard ringers.

I have an old-fashioned british ringtone hosted on my site, but if you don't like the standard old phone ringtone you probably won't like this one!

Address (wap compatible) is http://www.notdavidbailey.com/OldPhone-UK.mid

Traditionally, british telephones used a short double ring (ring-ring) instead of the single, long ring that you hear in the 'old phone' ringtone on the T610 (that's the American version!).

Many modern land-based phones in the UK use this same format, although of course nowadays they have electronic rings instead of bells.
