Can t610 be used as a remote using some Java application...?
Like controling tv's,cd players and such...

I heard it's pretty useless. Cause even if there wa some kind of application for it, the range of the Ir on the phone is so limited, it would be futile to use it as a remote control.
That would be a pretty sweet concept though. |

The only thing you can do is remoting your computer with PcControl.

I think it's the same.
Btw how long is the range of ir port on SE phones? I read somewhere that people were using Nokias series 60 as remotes.So how long is IRDA range on Nokia phones?

Range is not a problem... We can use those IR range extender if there is a software for it.... |

dude theres no point of having ur t610 as tv remote.
u'll havre to be about 15 cm away from ur tv...if ur that close y dontu juss get up and change it urself^^:;;
