I just got my t68i here in Canada, where it is sold by stores that import them from asia/europe. Anyway. Not having anyone to compare with locally, I was just wondering.

The blue led backlight on the keypad is very nice on all the keys except for the 1 key. Is this normal? The 1 key looks dimmer and is a slightly different colour.

This is a pretty urgent question b/c I have 30 days to return the phone for warranty if there's something wrong with it, after that I have to ship it out to europe/asia for free repairs or else pay someone to do it locally.

Btw another question:

WAP is really expensive with my provider, can new ringtones and backgrounds be downloaded via IR, bluetooth, or cable connect?

TIA! This phone rocks!!!

This has been posted on the forum before, and if you read through them, I think you’ll find it quite common on many T68i phones, and they seem to vary from just being 1 key to the whole top row.

However, on my phone, they look perfectly fine.

Hey thanks for the replies guys. I read the forum for 3 hours before posting my question, and I did a search for "t68i" and "keys" and "LED" and "backlight" and some other words I thought would relate but I didn't find any specific references to this problem, so I did do some homework first .

Do you have any suggestions on keywords to use? Or even a thread I can link to?

Next question. Is this something that sony ericsson will fix easily? Is it likely a faulty LED -> which means I should get it fixed, or is it something I should leave alone. I am just worried that trying to get this fixed will make things worse then they already are, since the phone is fine in every other aspect.

Thanks!

IF the 1 is a bit 'whiter' than the others, it's probably alright... it's cos of the white LEDs at the top....
About the backgrounds, it's really easy to do it through Infra red!

Mine looks okay, I have no problem with the Leds, maybe because i changed my t68i two times and i guess they checked it very well before they sent the new one to me.

On mine no. 6 is darker. As I have said before. Compare a bunch of phones and pick the best one to buy. Last time I bought a T68i I compared 4 phones. One had a bad display. One had a loose battery and one had very poor blue leds!

jkay - it is very rare that the shop lets u turn on 4 phones to find the one with the best key backlight!

My entire left row looks more green than blue, it really looks bad I think, But does anyone here think its enough for me to demand a new phone?

ooohhhhppss..

it seems that the phone (t68i) has got a lot of problems, bugs etc.

on my phone, number 4 and number 6 look dimmer then the other ones.since i bougnt mine from a store that imports these kind of things, there isn't any warranty though.

i don't know what to do, :|
