I have recently returned to SE (from an original ericsson flip phone)after journey through Nokia and Siemens...and love the phone: but am SERIOUSLY disappointed with the software....

I read a recent post about someone uncomparably favoring SE with Nokia's pc management software...

I have one question: is there anysoftware that will allow me to manage my contacts on the computer...i have tried the XDNconnect, and with over 500 contacts on outlook, but only about half of them contacts with phone numbers, I want to be able to edit whch ones are on the phone....

Also, I cant figure how to download games to the phone....

HELP!!

System:
Dell P3 700, W2K, IR interface, T610, Outlook....

Thanks,

EMrys

Do a search on here for floats mobile agent (fma)

In my opinion the best software you can get, all contacts can be added, deleted, numbers changed, pictures asigned etc, but it can do much more, like retrive pics, themes an tones from phone, store sms messages on pc, and then other things like swap profiles, edit groups etc. I haven't used the sony software as i didn't want to be messing around with outlook, and i am sure fma can do 20 times more than the free se software

You have to send file/game by IR or BT. Or you can upload it to a wap site and download via wap to the phone. It does not work to send by cable :-( If you look harder in settings/ contacts there is a place to marke which contacts you want to sync. But I have never tried it. :-l

Not true, on the newest version of FMA, the software can extract games/files from the phone via cable, without you even touching the phone.

Use FMA, it's without a doubt the best software you can get for this phone! I use it with bluetooth. I never even botherd to install any of the SE software that came with the phone, it's crap anyway. With FMA and script i can even control winamp and more stuff on my pc, from my phone when walking around my appartment :-)

saanlo?
first, that software connects to the T610 only through iRDA
2th FMA is free of costs, and offers a gazillion more enhanced features, supported by opensource platform, and connects in multiple
ways, you just have to setup your bluetooth correctly for use with your computer (if you use bluetooth)
after that you can connect with FMA with no problems or hassles.

I solve the problem with the Outlook that I add to a filed that I doesn't use (like "Managers Name") the value T610 and filter that file throw the XDNconnect.
I fined that way the easiest way to do it.
