P900 and digitalcamera... |
Real Joined: Jan 04, 2002 Posts: 134 From: Norway PM |
I`looking for a new digitalcamera.
I`m thinking about a Nikon Coolpix 4500. I like the flexability the design gives and i have used Coolpix 950 and 990 before.
Problem is, the Coolpix (and most other digitalcameras) use CF cards.
Is there a way i can get the pictures from the CF card to my SE P900 without going through my pc?
Can anyone recommend a camera with duo stick?
Thanx! |

I guess the obvious choice that use memory stick would the sonys, and thats what I use. Even better are the newer ones which have bluetooth and support BIP for bluetooth transfer to the phone. They certainly work with T610 and Z600 etc but I haven't determined if P900 supports BIP so you might want to check that first

I`m gonna check it out.
What camera do you have?
I was hoping the some kind of adapters to get.
Anybody who knows? |

I've heard of adaptors that convert memory stick to fit into compact flash, but never the other way around.
I'm using the DSC-P1 which was one of the original 3.3 megapixel Sony cams but looking to get a DSC-P12 probably since that takes memory stick pro and is 5 megapixel, although I may also look at the latest bluetooth ones too

well I just found out on my-symbian the P900 doesn't support BIP so I've lost interested in that option and will prob go for the DSC-P12 now. The Nikons are pretty good though, I had the coolpix 900 before the Sony and Olympus cams take great pics too (I had one of those before the Nikon)

Found a adapter on p900er.
But I`m also thinking about The Sony DSC F828.
The downside is that It`s big and expensive, but I really like it... |

hey, that looks like a great cam from reading a few reaviews so thanks for the heads up. I will now order one of these. Can you answer a few questions please
where did you get it from
how much (best I can find is 294 pounds on ebay from a UK dealer)
can you confirm it does take the duo pro because some review are unclear.
