I can't install the upgrade from R1 to R3 of the comms package and xtnd connect.

The original software installs fine, but the patch (recently downloaded), bombs with the message "Can't find setdbgout.exe", and it turns out that the patch has overwritten a lot of files in the Mobile Phone Monitor folder with 8.3 filenames.

I've tried changing the 8.3 filenames to their original filenames as specified in file properties, and re-registering them, but everything fails with "serious installation errors".

I don't think I'm going to be able to solve this, unless someone's had the same experience and can help, but would like to know for sure that the t68 suite available for download is the same as the full t39 suite, in which case it's probably just easiest for me to use that.

Win98SE IBM celeron333 laptop with 6.4GB HD (2GB free on c:) and 192MB RAM

Thanks

The T68 download has newer versions than the upgrade for T39.

But the problem I had with my R520m(which is very similar to the T39) is that when I tried to use the T68 download package, it causes the phonebook synchronization to crash. I had to use the upgrade instead. Tried it on 2 computers with Win2K and Win98, complete re-install.
