A couple of months back i saw a pad which looked alot like a mouse mat advertised on the internet. They are suppose to charge things e.g. phones and cordless mice (basically any thing that is put on them that has chargable batteries)
I was wondering wether any body had heard about these also.
Thanks |

ye i have too
its a prototype still though peeps like sony, panasonic, philips etc are all signed up as licensees to use the technology in their products.
basically if ur phone had the right sort of specialised battery then when placed on this mouse mat (or any other surface the tech is incorporated into) it will charge - very cool, though very delayed.
i beleive i first saw it in a magazine as being big in 2003 - hmmm still waiting
ill have a root around for the companys name and hopefully post a link

I saw that in an old issue of .NET the internet magazine. Try going to their site and having a search.
However, it is true that it is still a prototype and is long delayed in being released.

Would be real nice if this thing could be released. As a user of several mobile units one place to charge em are awsome. For now I use like 4 or 5 different chargers.. |
