Has anyone had their T39 70 hour standby problem sorted out at a service centre yet, or have they had to send it back to Ericsson?

I really don't want to send the phone away as the last 2 times it has been gone for a month each time.

just leave it to a servicepoint...

I fixed at least 20 T39 phones last week with the standbyproblem

Does this apply to service centres in the UK aswell?

yes.... the fix for the standbytime can be found on the EMMA server (meaning all servicepoints can fix the standbyproblem)...

Did you manage to get your phone upgraded Macboy?

My local service center (Slough) sais they don't have any specific fix. Just the latest software.

Erricsson UK have also not heard of it.

No, not fixed yet as nobody in the UK, not even SE seem to be aware of the problem (or won't admit to it).

My local service centre (MPRC in Newcastle Under Lyme) even tried telling me that the advertised standby times were a misprint in the manuals!
