Hey all

Ok so I got my T610 about a month ago, and the first few weeks I after I got it, it would hang sometimes, and my bluetooth headset (HBH-200) has a pretty loud permanent static noise to it.. So I did a bit of research and wound up here, and started to read all about the firmware updates. I called up SE and they said that it costs 37 dollars and about 10 days to send it to somewhere in North Carolina to do this... but then I read on another post somewhere on here that it should still be free since it's under warranty?

I just need some help here, cause I'd rather find a place closer to my home to maybe bring the phone to to have it flashed so i'm not without it for 10 days... any info is appreciated.. thanks a lot.

I don't know what's up with and the US. I can't find any authorized service point/dealer whenever I'm in Manhattan. You'll have to call/e-mail for the location of a dealer that can give your phone a firmware upgrade.

In the US, they will flash the phone as part of a repair service, free under warranty. If there is a fault with the phone, the first thing they do is to flash it. In your case, there is definitely a fault.

Well I was just on the phone with T-Mobile and SE, and apparently T-Mobile "has no information on that phone"... gee they only sold it to me ya know? Maybe I can get SE to send me a new phone then I'll send this one back... we'll see how it goes.

Thanks guys.

like i said in the U.S. they don't flash for free, no matter what you tell them. too bad you're not with cingular, they would just give you a new phone with no hassles. $20 is a damn good price @jbaird.
