Screensaver without the clock |

Sorry if this've been answered before but the search-function ain't working.
[I've got a T610]
I've downloaded a screensaver from ESATO. When the phone has been unused for a while the screensaver starts. After some time the screensaver is "turned off" and replaced by the ugly clock.
Can I somehow prevent this from happening? I don't want the clock to appear, I want to use the screensaver ONLY.
I've also heard that someone replaced the digital clock with an analog one, is this possible or were I just dreaming? If it is true, how do I change it to analog?
Thanks everybody!
Happy New Year!!
Gott Nytt År!!

No, you can't prevent the clock from appearing unfortunately. I agree, god knows why they bothered putting a screensaver facility in the T610 |

...and this question is covered in the Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style) along with some other stuff you might find interesting.

From reading previous messages from a couple of weeks ago, i don't think you can change it. I know i've tried like hell to change it for mine but it's not possible. Sorry

Yes very.
I've written an e-mail to SE and asked them to fix this in the next firmware... I don't think they'll care about my request but lets hope they do |

Ok, I've received an e-mail from now:
"Vi har mottagit din förfrågan, men jag kan inte svara på om detta kommer ändras
i någon senare mjukvara."
=
"We've received your request, but I can't answer if this is going to be changed in an upcoming (I don't know if this is the right word) software.
Well well... they didn't say "NO!", so there's still hope =)
Happy New Year everybody!!

Have you read the FAQ...???
There is nothing to fix,the clock is there for saving power.
...so there is no hope...!

Heh, having a 20 frame gif constantly running would drain your battery pretty fast. Besides, you can hardly see the screen with the light off. The way it is is fine, you get

I've read the FAQ, yes! Masseur told me to and I did.
SonyEricsson did not say "No, we're not going to remove the clock", they said that they didn't know if they were going to remove the clock... because of this I do believe there is hope.
By the way, how the hell can a clock screensaver save power? Wouldn't the phone save more power if the display was turned off?
/\/EDIT\/\
BOSSHOGG:
Yes, the way it is now is fine. But why is there a "screensaver" option on the phone if you can't use it as it's supposed to be used?
I asked SE if they can fix the clock to be an option, clock ON, clock OFF. This way ppl who want to use another screensaver can use one and will have to charge their phones more often. And the ones who want to keep the clock can do that. I don't see anything bad about that, do you?

It'll never happen. The block only uses about a third of the diodes on the screen at any one time. A screensaver user up loads of processing power too. And a static picture does actually cause temporary screen burn.

Ok your probably right, I haven't thought about it that way before.
I rest my case, end of discussion . |
