Does he really?! I don't have that neither... The thing I would guess is that the devices he's paired to allows him to do this while yours don't. My meaning is that it isn't in the T610 the problem lies but in the other devices.

Joystick move= < for left and > for right, *=*
>*<<*<* that'll get you to a service menu. Then go into service info and then on to firmware info or something like that there it'll say what firmware you have.

Tec9, you have the first firmware version but I don't thing that is anything to do with the problem. I have noticed the same as you but never spent time on it before.

I have now done some testing by pairing my Z600 with with my T610 which both have the latest firmware (except for the ones just released a couple of weeks ago)

If I initiate the pair from the Z600 then the Z600 gets the browse option. If I initiate the pair from the T610 then the T610 gets the browse option.

In both cases the phone which did not initiate the pairing does not get the browse option.

I will investigate further to see if I can make it work from both sides after the pairing

edit: looking at the services available it seems both phones see the "object push" service but only the phone that initiated the pairing seems to see the "file transfer" service and I cannot see a way to enable that on the phone that did not initiate the pairing

when you bluejack you do not pair, you simply create an item in contacts (for example) and then choose to send it via bluetooth. The phone will then find ANY devices which are visible within range and show them to you so you can select one to sed that item to.

the passkey is a 4 digit code that is chosen ad entered on both devices when pairing and can be different for every device you pair with.

Once paired with the device make a refresh of the service avaible from the other phone ( do it with your phone ), the list will be updated and you will have the option to browse the files on the other phone. Sometime it will dissapear, just refresh again, don't know why it does that

Cheers

I dont think annyone would be so dumb that they would let a unknown guy browse their files.
