I am from Pakistan, the two GSM operators in Pakistan do not provide the email service, however one has dialup data service and the other has GPRS. There are 100s of ISPs in Pakistan dialup, cable, ISDN.

I have tried the settings of majority of the ISPs on my R520m and T610 but they simply just dont work. (though the same settings work perfectly fine on my laptop) The phone does make a data call to the dialup number of the the ISP but I always get the message 'Server not found'

I have read other posts regarding this problem. But is there a way I can get round this problem? Is there any way I can use the email feature in Pakistan?

Please help!!!

Dards,

Have you had your SIM data enabled?. I think UFone offers GPRS, which would make your SIM data enabled, after this you can try diallig into Cybernet/supernet etc. I don't think Mobilink has any kind of Data services, except maybe in Lahore (that might'e changed now).

However, in anycase, you have to specifically ask them to enable your data service before you can use dialup.

I have my data services switched on on Mobilink conneciton and I have active GPRS on my Ufone connection. I use WAP on both Mobilink and Ufone, so I reckon the problem is not with the data service but rather the email client in the phone or ISP.

Any other suggestion!!
