How to unlock simlocked T610 |

I bought through Amazon a T610 with NO SERVICE PLAN.
My sim card is from TIM, I live in Peru, I brought the mobile to my country. OF course I asked first if US mobiles with GSM works fine in Peru, they said yes, I only have to worry about band 1900. Nobody told me about "simlocked" phones.
And now it seems it is set just for "T Mobile". When I insert my sim card I got a "insert correct sim card". Is there a way to unlock the phone? I'm waiting for Sony Ericsson answer. Also I've heard about websites that you can download sw. Is that ok? Do you know about another way? Do you suggest to return the phone? |

I don't know about Peru but here in UK there are lots of small phone shops (not the big named chains) that can unlock most phones for about £10.
Alternatively, yes just send it back & try find an unconnected one although you may have to pay a little more. |

or buy a cable and log(user ID+password for access to the unlocking service).
