When you push the joystick up you dont conect to wap cuz the site that is getting downloaded is inside the phone not from wap.
I dont think there is anyway stopiing your friends from using wap.
Edit: i wouldnt have my mail adress and phone number in my signature cuz there is a lots of bad guyz on the internett.

try making two data accounts...
I have 2: one for mms and one for gprs...
and then turn on something like "always ask what profile to use" or "choose profile",account or something like that...
I turn on that option when I give my phone to my friends because they are very handy with se phones...
hope this helps

Speedooh -
Are u with optus? I think they might have a really good bundled data plan for $9? I can't remember to be honest, I have an optus sim as a 2ndary number and received one of those flyers advertising that. I quickly breezed over it and threw it out. |

can't you add a profile or something which has the wrong settings in and keep it as defult then it can't connect to the server, and when you want to use wap select the correct profile.
Hope this helps

Or you could just turn 'password request' on.

Did you buy the T610 in Australia. If you did - you shouldn't need to make any dummy accounts as the T610 have configs for Telstra, Optus and Voda.
Connectivity - WAP Options - Wap Profiles - (then choose something which aint your provider ie Voda or Tel$tra.)
Me think that is right. Sure some other people who want to open their pressies early but cant can verify
Merry Xmas! |
